Jhulan festival draws thousands

ISKCON Juhu celebrated the Jhulan-yatra festival from 20- 24 August 2010 . The festival was conducted in the temple courtyard where a flower-bedecked ornate silver swing held the utsav-murti of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari. This year the special highlight of the event was the presence of H.H. Giriraj Swami, who joined in the Jhulan festival after almost a decade. Life members, donors, devotees and hundreds of citizens of Mumbai  participated in the festivities and took the opportunity to personally swing the Lord.

Narsimha Caturdasi Celebrations

Sri Narsimhadev is Lord Krishna’s half-man and half-lion incarnation. Lord Krishna appeared in This form to protect His devotee Prahlada Maharaj from the atrocities of his father Hiranyakashipu and reestablish religious principles.
After the death of his brother Hiranyaksha at the hands of Lord Varahadev, Hiranyakashipu wanted to avenge his brother’s death and thus performed severe austerities to rule over the universe. He gained an audience with Lord Brahma and requested him to grant him immortality. Although Lord Brahma didn’t grant him immortality, he gave him the boon that Hiranyakashipu could not be killed by any man or animal, by anything living or dead, during day or night, inside or outside, on the land or in the sea or sky.

‘ISKCON LEADS’ initiates training in India

Under the direction and inspiration of the GBC Succession Committee, Indian Regional Governing Body Members and Zonal Secretaries met with top ISKCON educators in India on numerous occasions since November 2008. This resulted in the birth of the ISKCON LEADS training program. ISKCON LEADS is an acronym for ISKCON Leadership Education and Development System.
ISKCON LEADS gives current leaders an excellent opportunity to identify potential leaders within their temples, regions and zones.

Amrita Vani Seva

IPP has come up with a special project which will help Mass Book Distribution This Project is named  "Amrita Vani Seva" THE NECTOR OF BOOK DISTRIBUTION".Whole purpose of the project is to increase the book distribution and special engagement for the congregation devotee.

This department is headed by Rupavilas Prabhu who himself distributed 61 set of Bhagavatam Set and acquire topmost position in distributing books for month of April.

Sitanavmi Celebrations & Photo Gallery

Devotees at Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari temple celebrated Sitanavami on Sunday, 3 May 2009. Sitanavami is auspicious day of the appearance of Srimati Sitadevi, the eternal consort of Lord Rama.

The festivities began early in the morning with a shobha yatra at Juhu beach. The utsav murti of Sri Sri Sita Rama toured the Juhu beach in a silver flower bedecked palanquin and blessed several citizens of Mumbai en route. The celebrations at the temple began with exquisite darshan of Their Lordships during sringar-darshan. This was followed by maha-abhishek and maha-arati of Sri Sri Sita Rama at 11:30am amidst hundred of devotees, life members and well-wishers chanting the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra and glories of Sri Sri Sita Rama in the packed temple room and trying to get a glimpse of the abhishek.

Japa Marathon

ISKCON Juhu hosted Japa Marathon on 1st May, 2009 which was Public Holiday.
It was a very special effort to uplift the spiritual Consciousness of the devotees and citizens of Mumbai. Around 180 people came together to participate in Japa Marathon and they chanted Mahamantra whole day. The main aim of Japa Marathon Program was to make everyone to come together and spend their holiday to experience the divine association of Lord through chanting His Holy names in association of devotees.
