Donate on the Auspicious Occasion of Holi
Holi, the festival of colors, is a festival which is celebrated to usher in the spring season. It is also connected with a special pastime of Lord Krishna wherein He and his devotees playfully sprayed each other with colored water.
The exchange of colors between Krishna and the cowherd girls is celebrated in many part of India and especially in the land of Barsana (Srimati Radharani's birth place) and Vrindavan (Sri Krishna’s birth place). Devotees of Krishna, celebrate the festival of colors by meditating on Lord Krishna’s pastime.
The exchange of colors is actually an exchange and offering of love between one another. It is done with respect in a sweet and charming way. When Krishna is remembered during the festival, it unifies us with each other and Krishna Himself.
