    Magh Purnima, the full moon day of the sacred Magh month, is one of the most auspicious occasions in the Vedic calendar. It is a day of spiritual purification, charity, and devotion. The scriptures glorify this time as a golden opportunity to earn immense spiritual merit by performing acts of selfless service and giving in charity.

    Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita (10.35) >> मासानां मार्गशीर्षोऽहमृतूनां कुसुमाकर: >>Of months I am Māgh 

    The Padma Purana states: "One who bathes in sacred waters and offers charity on Magh Purnima attains great spiritual merit and is blessed by Lord Vishnu Himself."
